Dr Carla Langley BVSc MMed

The founder of Equis Veterinary Practice, Dr Carla Langley is one of only four qualified equine internal medicine specialists in South Africa. She has worked hard at broadening her knowledge with regards to equine medicine, committing herself to extensive training and work experience both locally, and overseas. As a consequence, Dr Langley has considerable skill when it comes to pre-purchase examinations, lameness evaluations, and the management of genetic defects in foals and yearlings.

Speaking of foals – Dr Langley is Equis’ very own reproductive specialist.

Responsible for the first foal born via successful embryo transfer in KZN, Dr Langley is renowned as an expert in the field. She is one of the few vets in the region currently performing consistently successful embryo transfers. Her talents don’t end there. Dr Langley also specialises in stallion management and semen collection, breeding with problem mares, foaling down, and neonatal intensive care for both cardiovascular and musculoskeletal conditions.
